DIY Cucumber and Peppermint Summer Facial

DIY Summer facial using Peppermint and cucumbers

I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday, this week seems to be blowing by and I am not a bit prepared for the long holiday weekend. July 4th means family gatherings and lots of time outside in the sun which I love. Unfortunately, my face tends to suffer from so much sun exposure and I get whiteheads and my skin starts to feel rough. Well, a few weeks back I was sharing this with another mom at the playground and she gave me her homemade summer facial recipe. I made some excuse to leave and hurried home to try it. Although, I was a tad bit skeptical I fell in love the minute that I applied it to my skin. My face felt cool, relaxed and clean and more importantly when I washed it off I found that it had drastically reduced the whiteheads. So after this weekend of having fun in the sun with my family, I’ll be doing this facial.

Do you want to join me?

You’re going to need a few peppermint leaves (about 6 ), one cucumber and one cup of ice. Toss them all into the blender together until you have a smooth texture and then apply to your face, leave it on for about 5 minutes. Wash off and then pat dry with a towel.

So there you go, enjoy your weekend and look fabulous with your gorgeous summer skin, my Rattles and Heels babes.

I am going to sign off from blogging for the rest of the week today and I will be back here on Monday with a HUGE surprise for all of you.

Be sure to keep in touch with me on all of my social networks and tag me so I can see what you’re wearing and doing 🙂
