When we found out that our daughter had food allergies, the Allergist handed us her results and sent us along clueless as to what to do next. As a mother, I felt overwhelmed and scared because I had no idea what to feed her to keep her safe. That was two years ago and since then, I’ve established a diet for her that’s free of the foods she’s allergic to. She’s also outgrown her eggs allergy and best of all we replaced that allergist with one of the best in the state of New York who always makes himself available to answer my two million questions.I usually cook most of her meals but when it comes to snacks sometimes she just want to have what all the other kids are having. Summer can be challenging for kids with food allergies because they don’t want to feel excluded when they see other kids indulging in snacks that aren’t safe for them. That’s why I make it my mission to always have stash of seriously yummy but tree nuts and peanuts free summer snacks at my house. Tree nuts and peanut allergies are very popular, so I wanted to share the snacks on my grocery list with you so your child can safely enjoy some yummy snacks during the summer too. Besides, the high delicious factor these snacks are all healthy and most are organic.

Trader Joe’s Mini Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream Wedges
Whenever, my daughter is savoring one of these she only pauses to say “Yummy” and
“Delicious.” It’s hard to find ice cream cakes without tree nuts or peanuts so I try to keep these handy during the summer. Although they taste really good, they’re only 100 calories per serving and contain only 8 grams of sugar.
Earth’s Pride Organics Juice Tubes
After a hot day playing in the sprinklers at the playground or riding her scooter, she always looks forward to cooling down with one of these. The last few weeks, I’ve introduced them to the baby as well and he loves them.
Trader Joe’s Apple Strawberry Fruit Crushers
Talking about the baby, he loves apple sauce and I found these cool fruit crushers that are easy to toss in my bag and feed him while we’re out on the go. They come in about four different flavors but he seems to really enjoy the Apple Strawberry.
Trader Joe’s Trader Joe’s Multigrain O’s Cereal
Finding cereal that doesn’t contain any tree nuts or peanuts is quite difficult. She’s eaten this particular brand since she was 10 months old and still loves it.
TIP: Remember to always walk with snacks for your children with food allergies especially when you take them to parties and other events where food may be offered to children.
