Okay, so this must be the earliest I’ve ever published a blog post but since I am writing about my breakfast, I may as well have it up for you to read it while you enjoy yours. You’re probably wondering how my journey to becoming a stronger mom is going and I have to make some confessions to you. It got off to a really rough start.  I mean, I was so busy prioritizing my kids, my home, my business and my blog that I gave my body no love at all. I hopped on and off the clean eating bandwagon and I exercised sporadically. Last week that changed. As many of you know, I am a huge green smoothie girl but I sometimes skip breakfast early in the morning when I am in too much of a rush to get my kids out of the door to make a smoothie. Skipping breakfast left me craving carbs (mainly bagels) and too sluggish to exercise. So last week, I decided to try a breakfast with protein, Carnation Breakfast Essentials®.

The first morning I ran from my home to local coffee shop to meet my husband and I was burned out and in pain after two blocks. I alternated between running and speed walking the rest of the way and I made it in pain.

I’m really excited about getting back out and running today as I took the weekend off to let my muscles rest. I also plan to add planks and squats to my regimen this week.   • Go girl! I’m a smoothie girl. I do really well with Smoothies and eating as clean as I possibly can. What I need to be more consistent with is my exercise.

      Yes, exercising can be tough to get into especially if it’s not “fun”
