Shopping For Holiday Necessities

You know when you’re just so excited that you could practically burst? That’s how I’ve been feeling as we get deeper into the holiday season. Today that enthusiasm led me to do a major holiday haul at Walmart that made Mr. Rattles ask if I predicted the end of the world. It’s not that I think I wouldn’t ever get to go shopping again, I just wanted to make sure that we were properly stocked up with all of the home holiday necessities especially with one of my good friends coming to visit for the holidays. My little shopping partner, The Super Knight was very patient as I worked my way through my shopping list while checking the Ibotta app that I mentioned back in October on my iPhone for savings. Here’s a little rundown of the haul, it’s not the most exciting stuff but certainly necessities moms can’t live without:

We just managed to run out of all the Kleenex tissue that I mentioned stocking up on back in October, so I had to restock since they were super soft and absorbent. The packaging and oval-shaped boxes are perfect for the holidays.

Paper Towels

It’s no secret that I LOVE Viva® paper towels so they were the first thing that I grabbed. The Viva® Vantage® paper towels are durable which is perfect for cleaning up because of it’s scrubby texture.

Toilet Paper

What really made my husband question me is all of the toilet tissue that I purchased, I got 1000+ sheets of both Cottonelle® and Scott®. I was able to take advantage of savings on both brands and I figured that even if we had unexpected guests we wouldn’t run out until after the holidays.

If you’re going to hosting friends and family, here are 10 tips to help you survive the holidays stress-free.
